Ovum is the ‘female’ gamete which is truly the new-fangled individual of the species. It is basically, the solo cell in which disunion progression take place and baby will make. Gametes

Oocytes are known as body cells which able to make thousands of ovum cells, by tumbling their chromosomes to the correct solitary chromosomal set which is 23 in humans consequently completing the ovum’s division. And those cells of the body which form sperm do the equivalent with new sperm – to bounce a solitary set. When these two Gametes Ova and sperm combined they comprised of over-all 46 chromosomes.

In short, gametes have 23 chromosomes. All cells of the body consist of 23 pairs of chromosomes or 46 total. During the Meiosis cell division, a cell experiences two circles of cell division due to which the chromosomal pairs are detached and the resultant gametes have only one copy from each set of chromosomes. After his when the egg and sperm syndicate through fertilization, the resultant zygote has total 46 chromosomes or 23 pairs, 23 from Mother and 23 from Father.
